Later, after she died, I went back to the pictures ... and remembered what was going on at the time - all that had changed the world, while we just got on with the housework. And after all that, we would sit down quietly together and share the feast we had prepared. The everyday swirls as a spectral precinct of time/space in which the promise of other possible lives and temporalities is generated.
